Paper Peter Cottontail , Oil, 7x5" SOLD This week at Daily Paintworks is 'The Crumpled Paper Challenge' from Kim Rempel. "Take a piece of paper, crunch it up, put it in a well-lit setting and paint! It's a great exercise to study shapes and relative values." Well, I consider my entry as 'strategically' crumbled paper and that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ;)
What's New, Pussycat? oil, 8 x 6", $199 Well, I'll tell you some of what's new...I took down my old website and put up a new e-commerce site at the same address: originalartbymary.com . It will only have my paintings. Prints, greeting cards, digital downloads and some small paintings will be at my Etsy Etsy store. However, Rome wasn't built in a day, so I will be working to put my artwork up, as I have been so busy with my galleries (and convalescing from an injury) that I had let my Etsy store go fallow. Other than that, life has been good and I earnestly intend to keep my nose to the grindstone. I'll keep you posted! Mary
I like your sunny coloured view, and the atmosphere which comes from it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sylviane!
DeleteLovely, Mary! I like the dappled light.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jean! I know it almost sounds cliché, but I do my best to capture the light.
DeleteHey Mary,
ReplyDeleteYou do beautiful work - especially on this one - how you brought in the colors, Impressionism, and not to forget the nostalgia. Great work!
Thank you,
Mary Compton Aikens, fellow artist :-)
