Mary, thanks so much for looking and leaving a comment on my horse eye on 30 in 30 challenge. Means a lot especially looking at your work. I also did another shot of this pig for the challenge. A face only a mother could love. Thanks again.
Thank you, Nelvia! I appreciate your comments, too. I did see your pig this morning and recognized her...how funny! She is certainly a captivating little beauty! ;)
Paper Peter Cottontail , Oil, 7x5" SOLD This week at Daily Paintworks is 'The Crumpled Paper Challenge' from Kim Rempel. "Take a piece of paper, crunch it up, put it in a well-lit setting and paint! It's a great exercise to study shapes and relative values." Well, I consider my entry as 'strategically' crumbled paper and that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ;)
What's New, Pussycat? oil, 8 x 6", $199 Well, I'll tell you some of what's new...I took down my old website and put up a new e-commerce site at the same address: originalartbymary.com . It will only have my paintings. Prints, greeting cards, digital downloads and some small paintings will be at my Etsy Etsy store. However, Rome wasn't built in a day, so I will be working to put my artwork up, as I have been so busy with my galleries (and convalescing from an injury) that I had let my Etsy store go fallow. Other than that, life has been good and I earnestly intend to keep my nose to the grindstone. I'll keep you posted! Mary
What a fun painting! This challenge really is great, love your work!

ReplyDeleteOur painting group is organizing an exhibit to capture the resurgence of the family farm in our area. This little smiley would fit in so well!!
